About Us
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, Rich Grenier is the owner/creator of Fernwood Designs. His shop is tucked away on a peaceful parcel of land where he lives with his wife and artist Francine D’Antuono. A path through the woods takes him to his shop everyday and provides inspiration for the items he creates.
Rich enjoys working with a wide variety of wood species from exotic lumbers to reclaimed boards sourced from long forgotten structures. He considers each piece of wood a work of art in it’s own and assembles his pieces to assure the unique qualities of the wood remain true.

Fernwood Designs also offers design services. Francine works with Rich on many of the projects providing detailed drawings and plans to help you envision and build your project. Whether it’s a full kitchen that needs to be designed or a simple table, they can draw up your dreams, large or small.
